If you haven’t yet obtained my first cookbook, I have some great news for you. Order Kevin’s Kitchen: 100 Recipes for Delicious Living from BookBaby.com, enter the TOP SECRET code “Spring2018” at checkout, and you’ll receive your copy for $5.00 off the cover price. Some details about the book, and a few fab reviews:
Vital Statistics
1) The book is 218 pages long, and printed on glossy, heavy-stock paper. It’s a high-quality book!
2) Approximately 75% of the book’s 100 recipes are vegetarian-friendly.
3) The book includes an exhaustive index. So if you are looking for a recipe that uses a certain ingredient (i.e., “chicken” or “rosemary”), you can find the recipe in a jiff!
The Chapters
Breakfast and Brunch. Hosting a Sunday Brunch? Prepare one of my make-ahead brunch casseroles on Saturday night. The next morning, you’ll need only to turn on the oven before your guests arrive. Also included in this chapter: healthy granolas, sinful (and not-so-sinful) pancakes, and, and, and…
Small Savories and Sweets for Afternoon Tea or Anytime Snacks. Wanna live like a British aristocrat even when you’re not? Then you must host a classy Afternoon Tea. You might be surprised to learn that traditional cream scones, small savory sandwiches, and attractive sweets can be prepared well in advance. I’ll even show you how to make your own clotted cream!
Make-Ahead Cocktail Appetizers. Be a guest at your own cocktail party! Just gather some fresh, fragrant herbs from the garden (or farmers’ market), and turn them into irresistible dips and spreads. Then whip up my easy, elegant, make-ahead canapes, and pour yourself a drink.
First Course Soups. I think a perfumed puree of a seasonal vegetable from the garden is the best (and also the easiest) way to start a dinner party. For cold-weather dining, I rely on butternut squash, garlic, and leeks. Warm weather invites lettuce and lovage, or a soup made from red bell peppers which is much more than the sum of its few ingredients.
Main Courses. You’ll find these are suitable for either lunch or dinner. Because food-allergies and food-phobias are prevalent these days, I’ve included a number of mains that will satisfy both vegetarians and the gluten-intolerant. Almost all of the recipes can be served year-round.
Delectable Desserts. I love sweets and hope you do, too. And there is a sweet treat for every season — berries in summer, apples in autumn, and lemons and chocolate for the rest of the year. You do like chocolate, yes?

Kevin, I’d gladly forgo the coipon, I can’t believe I’d say no to a savings, but I’d love your book signed by you.. is that possible, is it terribly expensive? Well.. I just thought I’d ask. I can’t afford to buy the book till next month anyway. It’s darned hard to wash the car for earned cash when it 8°☆ sigh. But I love your blog. And I’m so glad now, there is the book. I had hoped you might do another book. A harvest to table sort. Just a thought passing.
Well blathered too long. Have a lovely week end♡ DC

I bought your cookbook a few weeks ago–it’s visually beautiful and easy to navigate. I love the sections and way you have it organized, too. I’ve made several appetizers and the lemon tart–absolutely wonderful. Thanks, Kevin! Good luck with it, and keep up the wonderful work you do. And PS: I am so sad for you and your partner on losing Lily, your sweet beagle. She was lucky to be so loved.

Got the book. It is beautiful and I love the recipes you included.

I got my book a few months back, the minute it was available. I just love it. It is easier for me to follow written directions in a book, versus my iPad. Kevin, this is my go-to entertaining book…I made the earl grey biscuits yesterday. Amazing!!!! It’s easy to impress people with your recipes and videos. One complaint…I am now coveting a stand mixer, and its a feeling that keeps getting stronger. THANKS!!!!

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for this post, I have been meaning to order your book but haven’t gotten around to it, till now. Can’t wait to get it. We use your recipes all the time, your braised ribs are a particular favorite.
I was so sorry to read about your dear Lilly. I know from experience what a heartache that can be. Please accept my condolences.

Cooked with my granddaughter today and made the blueberry galette. It is the most delicious blueberry tart ever. We also made the fabulous Mushroom, Spinach, and Rosemary tart. My husband loved both and said, “ put the cookbook on my bill”. Knew I would like it because I like generally everything you do, but I LOVE it! Bravo!
Kevin Lee Jacobs says
Hi Shirley — So glad the tarts worked out for you. Music to my ears!
Lorie Leonard says
Kevin, I would like to order your awesome cookbook, but your site indicates the coupon (dated January) no longer applies. Is there a new one?
We live in the Buffalo area and are also dealing with snow, broken branches, etc. Can’t wait for spring.
Kevin Lee Jacobs says
Hi Lorie – Your comment inspired me to update this post. New coupon code (in case you missed it) is Spring2018.

For those who haven’t purchased Kevin’s boo yet please do! I bought a copy for myself for my birthday and I love it. In fact we made the chicken with tarragon and mushroom cream sauce tonight . I have a two week recipe rotation and since getting the cookbook we have it at least once during that time frame. Sounds really fancy and complicated but in fact it is not. I took a picture of the finished dish and showed to my co workers. They all thought I spent a big chunk of time in the kitchen. Surprise it only takes about 30-45 minutes depending if you have people bugging you in the kitchen wanting to know what that awesome smell is!! We serve ours with wild rice and either a steamed veggie or a dark green leafy salad. Looks fancy but it’s not. Just real tasty and comfort food to the max. Oh and don’t be afraid of this recipe because of the alcohol. Just replace it with the same amount of chicken broth.

Hi Deborah – I’m so glad you and your family enjoy the Chicken in Tarragon Cream recipe. Thanks for commenting!

Already received the book! And boy do I love it. I also forwarded your blog and etc. to a friend of mine who is now “going crazy in the kitchen again” and making some of your incredible dishes.

Hi Chris – Music to my ears. Thank you.
