Sometimes the most basic ingredients make the best party or cocktail appetizers. Take, for instance, the Goat Cheese Bites that I made for my latest YouTube video. To make the bites, you simply blend goat cheese and a hard cheese (such as Parmesan) in a food processor. Then you form the mixture into bite-size balls, and dredge them in chopped herbs, chopped nuts, or a combination of both. Insert a pretzel stick into each little globe, and voila — you’ll have the perfect appetizer for almost no effort at all! Here’s the printable recipe:
Goat Cheese Bites
An adorable (and delicious) appetizer that requires almost no effort to make.

Equipment
- a food processor
Ingredients
- 8 ounces goat cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup finely-grated Parmesan cheese
- Chopped chives, chopped almonds, or a combination of both
- Pretzel sticks
Instructions
- Put the two cheeses in the work bowl of a food processor. Process until fairly smooth -- about 20 seconds.
- Scoop the cheese mixture into a bowl. Form the cheese into bite-size balls, roll them in the herbs and/or nuts, and place them on a serving tray. Insert a pretzel stick in each ball, and serve!
