When you have homemade Snowshoe Naan in your freezer, fabulous pizza is only 15 minutes away! Here are some topping suggestions for you, along with the baking instructions:
Wanna make your own naan? Here’s the recipe.
To turn the naan into pizza, proceed as follows:
First, adjust the oven rack to the lowest position, and heat the oven to 400°F.
Now put the naan on a baking sheet.
Then invert the bread, and brush this underside with extra virgin olive oil. The oil will insure an extra-crisp crust.
Now turn the naan right-side up, and select your toppings! Here, the possibilities are endless. For a vegetarian pizza, you might consider the following ingredients:
A layer of garlicky good pesto…
A sprinkling of diced red bell pepper…
Some baby spinach leaves…
And a finish of goat cheese!
For a meaty pizza, consider the following:
A layer of good-quality (i.e., not sweet) tomato-based pizza sauce…
A dusting of Italian seasoning (I forgot to take a picture)…
Thin strips of smoked chicken breast…
Forkfuls of caramelized onions (I made these onions last Sunday; let me know if you’d like me to film the video how-to for you)…
And a finishing flourish of shredded mozzarella cheese.
Now pop the pizza (or pizzas) on the bottom rack of the preheated 400°F oven. Bake until the cheese melts — 8-10 minutes.
For cocktail parties, I like to slice my Snowshoe Naan Pizza(s) into cross-wise strips…
And serve them on platters garnished with arugula leaves.
YUM.
DOUBLE YUM.
Well. I hope you’ll make some Snowshoe Naan, and save a few of the loaves for pizza. An easier main course or appetizer doesn’t exist!
And here, in case you need it, is the video how-to for the above two pizzas. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the great ideas! Cooking for one – I love naan pizza. Tried it when I bought some naan on sale. I’ll have to make my own now and keep on hand. My favorite is margherita style with some tomatoes marinated in balsamic, basil and fresh mozzarella but can’t wait to try the pesto.
