Snow…At Last

BY Kevin Lee Jacobs | December 15, 2010 7 Comments

I CAN’T DECIDE if that’s a fountain or a wedding cake in my rose garden, thanks to the first — and rather unexpected — snow fall here. What’s the weather like where you are? Are you knee-deep in the white stuff…or just waiting for it to arrive?

Looks like a birthday cake, Kevin, hope it was happy!

We got 6 inches of snow yesterday here in southeast Michigan and it has been way too cold, 9 degrees this morning 🙁
Remember my front hall closet I turned into a pantry? It is 44 degrees in there. I am keeping an eye on it because I don't want my squashes to freeze.

We've been under a lake effect snow warning here for the past 3 days. Driving is NASTY! It's cold too-17 with a windchill of 3. I love snow-just wish the roads were clear.

Here I am in your area, drinking my homemade Baker's chocolate recipe from your website!

LisaF – Thank you – it was a lovely birthday!

Terry – sounds like we're having the same weather; bitterly cold at night.

Katreader – I love snow too, so long as it doesn't make travel too treacherous, and so long as it is all gone by March! Be careful on those roads…

Brigid – So glad you enjoy my hot chocolate recipe! No beverage could be more comforting when the snow falls…

35 degrees today in Albany, NY. After a week of temperatures in the teens and twneties, it feels like spring! And the snow is melting!

It “snowed” here in Georgia last week–not a bit of snow or ice stayed on the ground but they cancelled school for a day anyway, because frankly, few things strike fear into the hearts of southerners more than driving in winter precipitation.
Your picture makes me feel like I just stepped out of the wardrobe and into Narnia!
