HERE IN THE HUDSON VALLEY, the wackiest weather – ever! – continues. Yesterday’s low 40 degrees; today’s high 82 degrees, and Friday will soar to a suffocating 90! And still no rain in sight…bad news for plants heading into their dormant season.
What’s the weather like where you are? And can we have our “walkies” now?

What a handsome beagle!
We're having the same weather as you, DRY. I haven't mowed my lawn in 3 weeks.

My weather is the same as yours-absolutely goofy. Friday was near 90-today, around 60! One heavy rainfall-then the 3 days they promised rain-nada. Of course, I put grub control on the front lawn in anticipation of that needed rain. Grr. As a horse owner, this weather is really frightening. Quick and drastic changes can cause horses to colic.

Katreader – Drastic weather – bad for horses, bad for plants, bad for us. I'm hoping for steady, soaking rains — soon.

Dana – Thanks for writing.
Lily the Beagle is an amazing dog, and we love her to pieces. Like all beagles, she follows her nose when outdoors. Consequently she is never allowed off-leash, unless she’s in an enclosed area. Lily was hit by a car after her previous owner abandoned her. That’s how she came into our lives.
