Happy Halloween!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, EVERYONE! That’s me up top, playing a 1,000-year-old vampire at last night’s costume party. My fangs, pale skin and green veins were provided by Michael Laudati, a friend and professional make-up artist who has worked with Al Pacino, Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson and other film actors. Of course, I wasn’t the only ghoul at this monster-mash:

Lily, wearing a “Mark of Zoro” bandana

Michael Laudati, a masked and hooded monster, and Despina, pierced and painted as The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo.

I found Despina’s neck utterly irresistible.

Anne Schomaker, a geisha, and Sue Chiafullo, a happy witch.

Alan, a rival vampire, and his partner Lisha, a witch. Lisha is my yoga teacher.

Randy Hinz, Vicki Smith, Doug Cohen

Me, with my policeman-partner, “Sgt. Naughty,” standing behind.

Great costumes, Kevin — including Lily's! I can see you're gearing up for the new Dark Shadows remake coming soon!

Justin – the fangs were almost real…Michael took an impression of my teeth and made a fanged, dental bridge for me. I was able to eat and drink while wearing the bridge!

Judy – I am very much looking forward to the new Dark Shadows remake. It stars Johnny Depp, right?

Sorry I missed it! The rally was a blast though.

You went to the rally after all? Good for you! I've read that 250,000 attended. Can't wait to hear your first-hand account…

What a fabulous evening we had last night. Costumes were incredible, food mysterious (cauliflower brains, ghost salad, deviled eggs, etc) Miss Lilly howling, unique decorations, and dancing to mysterious rhythms. Kevin, you outdid yourself. Great to be a guest. Many thanks.

But remember the deviled eggs became angel eggs after being exorcised by the dead Benedictine monk attending the festivities…. Great party, Kevin! This is one cat (Grizzabella!) who enjoyed everything and everyone the entire evening. Now to focus on putting the garden to bed without any ghouls or vampires or skeletons interrupting its rest….

Kevin what a great party. We ghouls had a swell time! Good food and great costumes and lots of libations! Thanks to you and Will for hosting!
