A reader sent me this “recipe:” Chocolate chip cookies, baked on the dashboard of a car. Is this something you would ever try?

I read the article, but I don't think it gets hot enough here in upstate NY to cook in a car. Not THIS summer, anyway. Maybe people in Las Vegas should consider dashboard baking!

Well, like someone said after the story, your car would smell like cookies for weeks. Actually, that's not such a bad thing!

Proof of how hot a car can get when parked in the sun and with the windows up. That's why people should never, ever, leave children or pets in a closed car.
