If you are looking for a rose that captures the moonlight in each of its pure-white blossoms, and permeates the air with the most intoxicating, cinnamon-spice perfume, then Rosa ‘Iceberg’ probably belongs in your garden.
I fell for iceberg’s charms three years ago, while searching for a white floribunda for my rose garden. It has proven itself a winner. It is never without flowers from spring through frost, although its grandest flush of bloom is in June.
The semi-double flowers are born in clusters, and each cluster makes an elegant bouquet for the house. Early morning is the best time to cut the stems. For pictorial effect, I like to combine Iceberg in a bowl or vase with other roses of similar form, particularly yellow ‘Graham Thomas’ and pink ‘Gertrude Jekyll.’ But white roses, of course, go with everything.
You can enjoy iceberg as a 3-5 foot shrub, as I do, or as a 12-foot climber for pergola or trellis. Both types shimmer in sunlight, and glow in the dark. Hardy in zones 5-10.

If you had just one other colored rose to go with the iceberg in a garden, what would you choose? Shirley

Shirley, welcome. Just ONE other rose? Is that possible? Well, I would have to choose David Austin's pink perfection, 'Gertrude Jeykll.' Lovely in both form and scent. Thanks for asking, and I hope you'll visit again.

I love reading about your roses, and your drop dead beautiful rose garden! I have Iceberg (as a shrub) and you're absolutely right, it does glow. It's the only thing in my garden that I can see at night.

Super enjoying this forum!! Here’s my dilemma. I live in southern Ontario. I bought a Fourth of July climbing rose at the nursery on sale in the fall. I wrapped it in burlap and overwintered in my shed. It’s spring now!! I clipped a couple of branches and they were green inside so I am fairly sure it is still alive. But that was over a week ago. Now it’s looking fairly dead because the branches have been covered in a whitish tinge. Should I just go ahead and plant it? I probably will, just because I ought to. But am wondering if there’s anything else I need to do. I’ve composted in the fall and added a little bit more yesterday mixed with a few bags of vegetable soil. It’s utilimately a veggie garden. Anything else?? Thanks much lay and have a fab day!!

How do I permanently remove moss that comes back every year between the bricks on my patio and walkway? We power wash, but the moss always comes back.

Iceberg roses are my favorite because of how much they flower. It seems like they always have beautiful white flower blossoms.

Kevin, this is not about roses. My question for you is about portable cooktop burners. My cheap electric glass top stove does not maintain an even temp, as when trying to carmelize onions. It cycles on and off, causing burning. Please tell me, what is it you use in your videos? Does it maintain a steady temp?
Thank you so very much.
