Happy first day of September! Today, because I haven’t vlogged in quite awhile, I decided to film a cleaning tutorial for you! Grab a dust mask, and then watch me go to town on the papered walls, the brass chandelier, and the pair o’ pianos that reside in the music room at Clover Hill.
Actually, there are three grand pianos in the music room. One of the instruments is out of site, behind a set of pocket doors.
Yes, I know.
Some people collect cars.
Is a dust mop your best friend and dancing partner too? Talk to me in the comments field below. Also, if you have any questions about cleaning and maintaining a piano, I’ll do my best to provide answers for you.
(For a leisurely tour of the music room, please check out this video.)
And if you’re hungry for more punishment, be sure to get my email updates!
Hugs,
Kevin

Your music room is lovely! I love the colors you have chosen as well as the furniture arrangement. I suspect some great music comes forth at times.

You make cleaning almost fun! Only almost. Great music too.

Kevin, your music room looks like a dream come true! I have a Roland keyboard, and I use a popsicle stick inside a cloth (with alcohol) to get a little deeper under the top when cleaning the keys. BTW, the alcohol is for the cloth, not for me.

Kevin, I think it’s safe to say you are the only person in the world who makes a video about cleaning that I would want to watch! One comment…next time let’s hear more of the musical portion. You are a joy to listen to…makes me sad that I didn’t inherit your talent on the keys.

Kevin, I seldom comment, but always read. I just spent four day and four nights with three geat grandchildren. You were/are and wonderful attitude adjustment for me. We have had a piano in our home for tweety- five years. I’ve just learned how to clean the keys. We moved to Florida and have lived in a condo for the past four years. I still enjoy your posts. Thank you for your blessing!

Wow- what a stunning room. The color palette definitely exudes a regal, classic style. Love the idea of a music room as well! Although we are all not musically inclined, it obviously works for your home and that is such a fun and unique aspect!

You don’t wash walls? I’m curious on how you heat your rooms. We heat with wood, so walls are washed.
And so I shouldn’t have my flat screen on top of my 1920 something upright piano? Lol. It’s an extra shelf but nothing with water is allowed on there.
Loved hearing you play a song which the tune sounds familiar.
