Adventures with Houseplants

Hello and Welcome! This is the place where we can all relax, have a drink, and discuss anything and everything relating to houseplants!
This picture shows the window garden in my music room. (Click the photo for an infintely better view.) I wish you could sit in this room, listen to a Chopin Nocturne, and breathe the perfume of the jasminum polyanthum that frames the center window. This 'Winter Flowering Jasmine' blooms from late January through April. When I say "blooms," I mean a blizzard of scented, snow-white, star-shaped flowers. The azalea on the broad window sill has been with me for three years; kept cool and moist, and fertilized with Miracid, it blooms from January through March.

I'd like to hear about the bits of poetry that might be growing or blooming in your own window garden right now.

Questions? Comments? Post away.
